Hi,

Would it be possible to purchase better ie: VIFA woofer's/tweeter's to accompany the D4 kit. Currently it says generic Taiwanese woofers/tweeters with the kit. I wouldnt mind paying the difference in price for the upgraded woofer's/tweeter's paired along with this kit.

Reason for me asking this is that I would prefer to have dipoles for my surround speakers rather than direct firing surrounds. Thanks in advance.

cheers

Shogo33,

I am using the M4's in my "home theatre" setup as the front speakers. (I am only running it at 2.0 instead of 7.1 at the moment - need the money to finish it). They sound great. I too have an affinity for using Vifa drivers, but these little speakers are very good. I am seriously considering using 7 of them in my 7.1 setup. The drivers are obviously quite capable, but I have not heard them in the D4 arrangement.

As surround speakers, I feel the drivers would be up to the task, but of course it depends on your other speakers and your receiver / amp

As with any speaker design the crossover is matched to the drivers. Change the drivers and the crossover may not suit.

Regards,

Rookster
