The S150 utilises the same cabinet design and excellent woofer used in the S100 but with a new, higher power amplifier module. With 150W on tap, the S150 plays louder than its predecessor and with less distortion. This makes it better suited to the larger sized "media" rooms that are common in newer houses.

The S150 is the ideal sub to choose when you are looking for an all purpose subwoofer for both music and home theatre at moderate to loud levels in normal to large sized rooms.

The S150 150W fully active subwoofer kit is an excellent match to all of our kits. When in doubt, it is the stand out choice for a wide range of systems and houses. It particularly suits the M5/M6/F5 series of kits but many customers utilise them with TL6s as well.

Built around a solid 18mm MDF rigid box, the subwoofer kit includes a 12 inch polypropylene woofer with a massive magnet structure and a fully integrated 150W amplifier module (120WRMS, 180W Peak).

Unlike most so-called subwoofers for sale at discount HiFi chain stores which struggle to reach below 40 Hertz, this kit actually produces serious SUBwoofer bass output! With an in-room -3dB response as low as 23 Hertz (when corner loaded), this is a genuine subwoofer capable of reproducing the lowest rumbles, booms and bangs for that full home theatre experience.

This is also a very competent musical sub which blends effortlessly with the other kits to produce deep, rich and most importantly, tight bass for a wide range of music styles. Most cheap subs designed for home cinema use simply cannot do this and produce a "one note" bass sound that is almost unlistenable for music.

Of course there is no such thing as a free lunch, and to ensure our sub produces the goods we have to use decent sized box. It measures 450mm on each side and so is quite large compared to other kits, but the benefit in sound quality will be instantly obvious to anyone.

Locating the sub in the room is a breeze, it comes with a fully automatic on/off feature and has phase control allowing you to set it up and then forget about it. The sub also offers high level inputs and outputs for those without a DD/DTS decoder
